Allow yourself to do nothing

“Allow yourself to say: It is okay for me to relax. In relaxing I achieve all things and replenish my ability to receive.”

Allow yourself to do nothing - and be okay with it. I know many will think they know how to do this but I’m not sure relaxation is really what they are doing. Relaxing is more than just sitting and enjoying that the moment is something you feel comfortable in - it’s that next step...silencing the voices of worry and doubt that come sometimes seconds and most times hours after relaxing. “Is something wrong with me health wise? I slept for so long!” “I didn’t finish that thing I needed to get to all because I was (insert ridiculous thing here: lazy, tired, selfish, procrastinating)” “relaxing was unproductive - I didn’t do any of the things I wanted” (you know this one - it’s the book you packed for vacation because you planned to read it and then you are lugging it home in your suitcase untouched)” stop forcing relaxation to fit in a box of expectations - allow yourself to say: it is okay for me to relax. in relaxing I achieve all things and replenish my ability to receive.

It’s okay to relax. It’s okay to do nothing. It’s okay to reboot, recharge - to say no for the sake of just needing alone time. Give yourself the time and space needed to refresh, to heal, to reenergize. Any one or any thing that makes you feel bad about putting yourself first is a sign that you need to give yourself more time recuperating. It’s not others who put pressures on us - it’s our own expectations of who we believe we need to be. You are perfect the way you are - even more so when you are well rested.
